I Matter March

Click to learn more!

A million young people, marching together, singing together, screaming together,

committing together to live like the future matters, demanding together that our leaders do the same.

Participate in a world wide I Matter March on Mothers Day May 8, 2011 of over 1 million youth called by 16 year old Alex Loorz.

WHY: Because every generation has an obligation – a moral, practical, even legal obligation – to pass a clean, stable, properly functioning planet to its children. Because we are those children, and because we love those children. Because the change this world needs is something we must actively seek. Because this is our revolution.

WHERE: In Washington DC, in every US state capitol, in big cities worldwide. In city squares and suburban parks. On freeways, at beaches, up mountains, through malls. From coal plants to wind farms. From schools to town halls.  Create one in your own town or neighborhood!

Organize a letter huddle

The One Day on Earth video was filmed at the Pachamama School in Quito as children drew and sang about Rights of Nature. Send us a copy of your drawings and letters and we will include them in our 1 million signature campaign for the Earth Summit 2012/Rio+20.
